Zenger Farm, which is a city-owned nonprofit organization, is located in East Portland offering 10 acres of protected wetlands and another six dedicated to organic farming practices. East Portland is also the most diverse area of Portland with lots of opportunities for cultural encounters. You can find some amazing restaurants out there run by immigrant families.
