Mill Park is a neighborhood in East Portland surrounded by Hazelwood neighborhood to the west, north, and east. Its southern boundary borders Powellhurst Gilbert neighborhood. It is located between SE Stark St and SE Division St from north to south between SE 112th Ave and SE 130th Ave west to east. Mill Park is a small neighborhood compared to other neighborhoods in East Portland and has three parks including Mill City Park, Midland City Park, and Floyd Light City Park. Most businesses are located on the outskirts of the neighborhood including SE 122nd Ave, which goes through the neighborhood north and south and the northeast corner of the neighborhood between SE Stark St and SE 102nd Ave. The neighborhood is home to Fir Ridge Campus, Floyd Light Middle School, and Mill Park Elementary in the David Douglas School District. It is also home to Portland Christian Elementary School.
Mill Park is a nice residential neighborhood for the most part with an affordable housing cost. Neighborhood can be peaceful so long as you don’t live so close to the main commercial streets including Division, Stark, 162nd and etc. Residents here are very diverse in backgrounds including immigrants from various countries including Russia, Ukraine, Somalia, Thailand, Vietnam, etc. Overall, it’s a nice but still cheap neighborhood to live in and its housing prices are going up.
