Madison South is a neighborhood in Northeast Portland, bordering Roseway, Sumner, Cully, Parkrose, Montavilla, and Rose City Park neighborhoods. The neighborhood is located literally in the corder of I-84 and I-205 intersection on the northwest quadrant. Madison South has a lot of green space including Rocky Butte Park, an inactive volcanic cinder bone, Glenhaven Park, Hancock City Park, and Rose City Golf Course. On the north side of Rocky Butte Park is the Grotto, a Catholic nature sanctuary.
Home prices in Madison South are quite affordable. The residential areas feel family-friendly, suburbial, and spread out. Streets tend to be more barren with less trees compared to other Portland neighborhoods and overall the living area looks average.
