Bridgeton is a thin strip of neighborhood in North Portland along the Columbia River east of Kenton and north of East Columbia. The neighborhood is adjacent to I-5 north on its western border and runs along the river through NE Marine Dr and NE Bridgeton Rd. The neighborhood is across the river in short distance from Tomahawk Island, part of Hayden Island neighborhood. This is a very unique neighborhood where you see a lot of boat houses, historic homes, rowhouses, apartments and condos.
Bridgeton is a small marine community where people live either on the water or by the water and enjoy boating, yachting, fishing and other marine activities. It’s also a very small neighborhood so everyone waves at each other.
Living in Bridgeton also offers some great access to the city or to the airport. Bridgeton is right across the river from Downtown Vancouver. It is also only 15 minutes away from Portland International Airport. Having a Yellow Max Line at the Portland Export Center makes commuting easy to Downtown Portland including North and Northeast Portland.
