South Tabor is a neighborhood in Southeast Portland bordering Richmond to the west, Mt. Tabor to the north, Foster-Powell to the south, and Powellhurst Gilbert to the east. It is between SE 52nd Ave and SE 82nd Ave from SE Powell Blvd to SE Division St. South Tabor is basically south of Mt. Tabor neighborhood that has Mount Tabor City Park, an extinct volcano.
South Tabor is largely a residential area with two main streets that run through the southern and northern border: SE Powell Blvd and SE Division St. You will find more affordable homes here compared to other neighborhoods in inner Portland and home styles are usually bungalows, cottages and ranch homes. There is a big park in South Tabor called Clinton City Park, which is a great neighborhood park with large fields, tennis courts and playground. The park is located next to Atkinson Elementary School.
Some residential areas in South Tabor are very nice with tree-lined streets such as SE 70th Ave and some parts of SE Woodward whereas other parts seem more barren with more shrubby looks.
