Bridlemile is a Portland neighborhood located south of Southwest Hills and north of Hayhurst. Much of its northern area of this neighborhood is outside the Portland city limit in unincorporated Multnomah County. The portion within Portland city limits extends into Washington County in two places (along Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway, and along Hamilton Road). Bridlemile is in the West Hills area and much of the neighborhood has hilly terrain and provides a good view of the city.
One significant benefit of living in Bridlemile if you have a family with a youngster is being within the school district for Bridlemile Elementary School (K-5), which is an exceptional public school where over 90 percent of students consistently meet or exceed Oregon Department of Education standards in statewide assessment tests in math, reading and science. Additionally, people in this neighborhood are very involved in the community. This is a great place to raise a family and get involved to better the community.
